Stealth Tapping

Fingertip Tapping

One way to do stealth tapping is to use your fingertips. The ends of the fingers have energy meridian points on them, even the ring finger, which we typically don’t tap. (We tap that meridian on the back of the hand instead.) If you simply hold or tap the fingertips of both your hands together, you might find that that will reduce your distress. You may have seen some people do that when they’re nervous. (Holding your hands in a prayerful position activates six of your energy meridians.) You can consider touching or tapping the fingertips together as a stealth tapping technique. Try that one and see if it works for you.

Here’s another fingertip stealth tapping technique. When you’re walking, your hands come pretty close to the sides of your legs. If you purposely let the fingertips touch the side of your legs as your hands are swinging with a normal walk, you will be massaging the fingertips against your legs. You will be tapping the fingertip points, six of the energy meridians, just by walking along and letting your hand brush the side of your legs. Try that one and see how it works.

You can also tap the finger points with your thumb on the same hand. This can be done quite discreetly by tapping, rubbing, or holding the finger points with the thumb pad. You can also include the tip of the ring finger as a point. You can massage or tap the thumb point with your fingertip pads by curling your thumb underneath your fingers. Try that and see if it works for you.

Touch and Breathe

Another stealth procedure is called “touch and breathe” or TAB. This was created by Dr. John Diepold and uses the EFT procedure except that you don’t tap on the points. Instead, you touch a point and hold it while you take a breath in and let it out. Then you go to the next point. You could also use TAB with your “one point wonder” or the 8 shortcut points or the entire 14 tapping points. Follow the EFT procedure except instead of tapping the points, you simply touch, hold, and breathe. Try “TABbing” for another stealth technique.

Imaginary Tapping

Back in 1998 when I began teaching golfers how to use EFT, I started getting reports from golfers that they were imagining tapping on the course and getting results. They would come to me and say something like, “You know, I was out on the course and I ran into a problem but instead of tapping, I just imagined that I was tapping and the distress went away. Is that possible?” About that time I started reading reports from around the world that imagining tapping works just about as good as tapping for some people for some problems. Over the years, we have learned more about imaginary tapping. The quantum physicists tell us that everything is energy, even thoughts. From their perspective, thinking about tapping a point would inject energy into it.
